Went on vacation to South Padre Island and bought this for my grandchildren to look at crabs at night time on the beach. I didn't try them when I receive them... My mistake. I put them in my carry-on bag in the same package that I received them in the mail. I bought some triple a batteries to put in them when we got to our condo on the beach. When I took them out of the package the inside of the pushbutton of the flashlight which is at the base of the flashlight fell out, only one of them would stay lite only if you kept holding the button down with your finger. They look really nice and are the perfect size for kids too bad they didn't work

They have a battery holder inside which you load the AAA batteries into. Not complicated but more to do than the typical flashlight. You have to be careful inserting the batteries and not do it too quickly. The flashlights get warm when on. I thought the first set got too hot, and the customer service people were very nice and sent me a new set at no charge.
