  I have been eyeing these types of LED lights for quite some time. I was attracted to this specific light by BYB because I could remove the light fixture and use it as a stick light if I needed to. The clamp feature looked like it would make a good portable lamp as well.
  
  This is a wonderful multi-purpose light to have. There are many features that I like about this lamp so I will try to list them.
  
  - The clamp is very secure. In fact it is a little hard to open but I like that because it means once it is put in place, it will not come off easily.
  
  - Like I said the light fixture itself is removable. Now it may appear tricky to get it on or off but I have a picture which shows the required steps. I know this because I have a cell phone car mount that had the same exact connector. Unscrew the top off the fixture and put it on the end of the extension arm OVER the ball at the end. Push the ball gently now into the light fixture socket that was under the cap until it pops in place. Now you can screw the cap back in position. See the picture and it will make more sense.
  
  - It’s portable because it is rechargeable. NO BATTERIES required. I get really excited when I think of everything that is rechargeable these days. This really makes it convenient. In fact it comes with a cable you plug into a standard USB power adapter or computer.
  
  - There are two lighting modes, bright white and softer white. Press the power button and it toggles between the two modes and then to off. If you hold the press the power button after you have selected a lighting mode it will go brighter or dimmer to your liking.
  
  - This lamp is fully positional. It has a snake type arm that can be bent to maneuver the lamp any way you want it. It is also a good length.
  
  We have been using this lamp for nearly a full week and have not needed to recharge it yet. It is very low wattage and will save a lot of energy. This lamp only uses 3 watts with a total of 28 lights. It has an incandescent equivalency of 20 watts. No, it will not light up a room but I have adequate lighting for my work space or by the bed. There are a couple of pictures which show the different lighting temperature modes. You can see the difference between the bright white and then softer light.
  
  I am very happy I ordered this light. It is small but it will come in handy for many portable situations. I am packing it with my daughter when she goes to church camp this weekend. She can remove the fixture and use it for getting out to the bathroom in the dark.

  I was confused at first by the size of the box, but then realized that the lamp was fitted inside and had to be expanded to its actual working size. After putting the parts together, I realized that this lamp was fantastic in the way that it allows you to adjust it in any position and get the illumination needed to see with very well. I attached it to my computer desk and was shocked at how much I wasn't seeing before; I now know for sure that my keyboard needs vacuuming and I must get to doing that little task. LOL I've also attached it to other areas that I needed light to write or calculate some things and tested its flexibility to every single option. I love how it works and hope that it can remain durable for a long time.
  
  I am very pleased with the fact that I can just rub my finger(s)/hand across the top and get the amount of light that I need so simply, also that I can recharge it with my computer while using it. I'm thinking about getting a second one for my son to use for his computer and artwork. This was a very nice purchase for the price. I chose the right product.

The light is touch sensible and it does have two kinds of lighting patterns, white light and yellow light. It has built in memory function that will remember your last choice of lighting option.
